Ashley Hancock is the Kennel Tech at Hart County Animal Shelter, where she is at the heart of the daily care and well-being of our dogs. Her responsibilities include feeding, grooming, and exercising the dogs, as well as cleaning and maintaining their living spaces to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Ashley monitors the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members to ensure timely care. Her hands-on approach and compassionate nature provide the dogs with the attention and care they need to thrive during their stay at the shelter. Ashley’s dedication is crucial to maintaining the high standards of care that are central to our mission.
“I began volunteering at HCAS when they opened in 2022. I’ve been able to work for better animal welfare, grow as a person, and build relationships with other like-minded people. Volunteering has led me to wonderful dog foster opportunities and two personal adoptions of special needs dogs through the shelter, both of which have forever impacted my heart. I appreciate being part of the shelter and having the opportunity to be of service to our community.”
