At Hart County Animal Shelter, our mission is to provide compassionate care and shelter to stray, abandoned, and lost dogs while actively working to reunite them with their owners or find them loving forever homes. We believe in rehabilitating dogs in need, ensuring their well-being, and promoting responsible pet ownership within our community. Our services extend beyond sheltering; we offer support for rehoming, provide referrals to low-cost spay and neuter programs, and conduct animal welfare checks. We also offer temporary fostering and food assistance for dogs in crisis, on a case-by-case basis.
Our Shelter is open Monday through Friday, while our emergency services are available around the clock. Saturday and Sundays by appointment.
